Pb creating a group with a "é"

When trying to create a group TrévoisTroyes, all the groups disappeared form the list. They reappeared when suppressing the group.

How exactly are you creating the group and what version of XWiki are you using? I can’t reproduce with XWiki 10.11RC1. You should probably check the encoding configuration. See https://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Documentation/AdminGuide/Configuration/Encoding/ .

Thanks mflorea for your return.
I’m using the “create a group” button under the groups list in the global admin/groups section.
I’m using Xwiki Debian 10.9
I’ll check the encoding settings and I’ll keep you informed.

Dear mflorea,

Indeed I was missing the <meta http-equiv=“Content-Type” content="text/html; charset=UTF-8 /> setting in the Administration -> Look &Feel -> Page Elements -> HTTP Meta Info text box.
Strange it is not set by default though.
