Getting the Generic Project Management application to work with documents and tasks

Hi there!

We’re trying to set up XWiki as a generic project documentation and task management tool. However, we’ve had major issues getting the generic project management tool to work with the XWiki task manager and getting nested pages/documents to show inside the “Documents”-tab inside the project manager.

The task manager works in so far that you can create new tasks and they do show up, but the project filtering does not work. Instead of the project name (“test”), the task list shows “xwiki:Projects.test.WebHome” in the project column and the project filter above the column does not list any projects.

Has anyone managed to get the extensions working with the current version of XWiki? One thing I’ve noticed that while the project itself shows in the breadcrumb/navigation bar as "Home / Projects / Test, the tasks and subpages we’ve tried to create show as “Home / projects.test”. Could this nesting mismatch cause the issues with both documents and tasks? If so, any ideas on how to correct these? We have some development experience but we have no previous XWiki experience in either usage or development.

Thanks in advance,
Pekka
