Change Password on first login

Hi.
In order to comply with our password policy, I am looking for a setting or extension to force a password change on the first login.
Is there a way in xwiki?

hmm I don’t think this exists yet (I could be wrong). You could raise a jira for it.

OTOH you have the option to invite users to a wiki, see https://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Invitation%20Application

Thank you for your prompt reply. The invitation is unfortunately not an alternative for us, since the user can choose his user name during registration. Furthermore, users can only be added to a group after registration. I will create a jira.

Not sure if this approach would work for you: We enter the users with a random password. For the first login we ask them to use the “forgot password” function.
Not perfectly comfortable but at least we do not have to send initial passwords around.
